On the 2023–present BMW M1000XR, the OE licence plate holder is integrated with the rear fender and keyhole cover. This package replaces the assembly with a simplified, matt black, glassfibre-reinforced Nylon cover that retains all factory mounting points and keyhole utility. To eliminate stress on the composite cover, the licence plate bracket features a dual-component design, securing directly to the subframe via a secondary reinforcement plate to resist high-frequency vibration.

 

COMPONENTS

 

  • Reinforced Cover: 01 Nylon 66 + 30% Glassfibre key hole cover finished in matt black. Features a centred wiring harness access hole.

  • Primary Bracket: 01 Lightweight aluminium licence plate bracket (18cm width). Mounts to both the reinforcement plate and reinforced keyhole cover. Fits UK license plates down to 7 x 5".

  • Reinforcement Plate: 01 Secondary reinforcement plate in stainless steel; replaces part of the composite cover and mounts directly to the subframe.

  • Plate Light: 01 Licence plate light included.

  • Wiring Harness: 01 OEM-spec connector.

  • Hardware Kit: Black anodised 316 stainless steel fasteners with 316 nylon insert lock nuts.

How is the seat lock cylinder integrated into the assembly?

The package includes a reinforced key hole cover constructed from Nylon 66 with 30% glass-fibre reinforcement, finished in matte black. The cover features a centred wiring harness access hole and is tailored directly to the M1000XR lock layout. The factory lock cylinder retains its original OEM orientation and secures using the standard factory fasteners.
Is this package compatible with the BMW S1000XR 2020 onwards (Gen 2)?

While the S1000XR shares the rear subframe (OEM part no. 46518405305) and rear carrier (OEM part no. 46628392381) with the M1000XR, the plate holder units differ (46628392385 vs. 46625A09E09). Consequently, mounting hole alignment around the key cover differs slightly on the S1000XR.

How are the rear indicators and licence plate light connected?

Indicator mounting brackets are manufactured to OE specification for full reuse of factory rear turn signals (with integrated brake light functionality).

Does it come with any warranty?
